TIP: Hydraulical or mechanical?

The hydraulic system generates a strong clamping force already when thighten the handwheel slightly. In comparison, a much greater manual force must be applied to the mechanical clamping in order to tighten the joints. However, the mechanical system requires less maintenance and it can be used even at high temperature.

TIP: Pipe centering devices
The centering devices by METRITEC are intended to use as mechanical positioning assistance for gamma radiography sources in pipes. The spring pressure of the arms is adjustable. As complementary accessoiry an appropriately long source terminal is needed, corresponging to the type of gamma ray projector which is used. The source terminal can simply be slide through the centering device and be locked by the centre screw.
